Welcome to Let's Talk Referrals!

Hi, I'm Steve and I'm really excited you made it here because that means you want to grow your business and your thinking, maybe referrals would be a good way to start.

I don't know about you, but when I first started learning how to grow my businesses (yes it was quite a few years ago), not a single person told me about, never mind shared with me, the referral and relationship skills I might need to grow my business without having to spend a fortune on advertising.

We don't teach word-of-mouth marketing or relationship marketing in schools, universities or colleges.

We're left to our own devices unless we are lucky enough to meet the right person at the right time that invites us to a networking group or shares their successes. Even then, there's no guarantee they'll have the information you need to learn how to network or get referrals the right way.

And that's why I founded Let's Talk referrals®!

What Let's Talk Referrals is About...

There are so many ways to grow a business. I know, I've tried most of them. However, there are three that have consistently helped me grow both personally and professionally and in this blog, I’m going to be sharing helpful tips and advice to help you connect with more people, get more referrals, and grow your business.

As an owner of three BNI franchises with over 400 members, I know what it takes to become a referral maker for your business and how to build teams that pass $millions in referrals to each other.

The three main areas I’ll be focusing on are networking, word-of-mouth marketing, and creating strategic partnerships, both online and offline:

Networking

Networking is a life skill and a lifestyle habit. It involves meeting people in a systematic way in order to build professional connections. It’s an ongoing process that creates long-term and mutually beneficial relationships.

Word-of-Mouth Marketing

When you improve your word-of-mouth marketing, you’ll be able to trigger positive conversations about your brand, expand your potential customer base, generate sales, and increase your revenue.

Strategic Partnerships

Maybe when you start out networking, you're just building a list of contacts so that when you need something, you can tap into this list. But with a specific purpose in mind, and powerful strategic partnerships, you'll have a more focused network and see exponential results.

Growing your network and developing a word-of-mouth marketing program will have far-reaching benefits that will impact your business (and your personal life) now, and into the future.

Remember, it's not what you know, it's who you know and more importantly, how well they know you.
